Coins are the unit of currency in the game of Terraria. Coins can be used for NPC transactions and ammunition for the Coin Gun. In Terraria, you can find 4 types of coins viz: copper coins are least valuable, silver coins, gold coins and platinum are the most valuable coins.

How To Earn Coins

Money is an important element in Terraria. The game gives your several ways to earn coins at every stage. Here are some way, you can earn coins:

By Killing Enemies: If you kill enemies faster, you will get the chance to earn more coins easily.
Crafting & Selling Items to NPCs: If, at any stage, you need coins, you can sell your earned items to other players.
Naturally-Placed Loot: At any stage, you can find coins naturally. However, there are less chances of getting naturally placed loot.
By Killing Monsters: The monsters you kill, the more money you will earn. If you dare to kill goblin army, summon them.
Eater of Worlds: Encounter Eater of Worlds, which drops 99 Demonite per encounter. You can sell them for 8 stack of gold. Use Vilethorn to kill, which is quite easy.
