Park Associates, a market research firm in US, reveals that strong performance of other TV streaming device seller overshadowed Apple TV sales, and put it on 4th place in US market share. Their reports said that Roku is still the market leader; 2nd position is held by search giant Google, and Amazon who leaves behind Apple, is on third place. However, the total market share of these 4 companies, is 86 percent approximately.

According to Park Associates, Roku is still the market king, and it hold 34 percent of devices sold. Chromecast maker, Google is on second position with 23 percent. Amazon overtook Apple for third place, rising to 16 percent of 2014's US purchases, compared to Apple's 13 percent share, according to Parks.
Tim Cook, Chief Executive of Apple has stated that they have sold over 25 million of streaming devices. Neither Amazon nor Google has released sales statistics of their TV-streaming devices. Apple is expected to reveal a new Apple TV with touch-pad remote, Siri support and dedicated App store next month as it unveils its new models of iPhone.
